The Friendly Church

u.m.y.f.

here at u.m.y.f. we believe in the three "f's":

faith

"for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves - it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."
- Ephesians 2:8-9 -

we live and breathe because of the grace of the Father. this is the first and most important cornerstone of u.m.y.f. here at st. luke's. this is the focus of the night. we love to have fun and hang out, but learning more about the God we serve and spending time worshiping is why we do what we do.

fellowship
"the Lord God said, 'it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.'"
- Genesis 2:18 -

we were created for companionship, for fellowship. no man is an island. we live together, work together, play together, cry together. life is together. we can't do it alone. this is time that we can develop key relationships - relationships with others who will help encourage us and direct us back to the cross in times of sorrow and joy.

food
we love to eat. dinner is provided every sunday night, free of charge. let's be honest, if this WASN'T a cornerstone of u.m.y.f., we wouldn't be methodists, now would we?
